Saime
SAIME (Società  Anonima Industrie Materiali Edili - Joint Stock Company Building Materials Industry) was born in 1938 at the Due Madonne site in Sassuolo on the initiative of the Gambigliani Zoccoli family, who took over part of the company from the Siliprandi family, originally owned by the family in the mid-1800s Rubbiani was founded. In the mid-sixties, the Saime company moved to the center of Sassuolo a Maranello, where it is still located. Following a business crisis in 1987, Saime was acquired by the Riwal group, becoming one of the largest and most productive plants in the area. In 2007, the SAIME company, together with the Riwal group (then also consisting of the Alfa and San Prospero Lux brands) became part of the Casalgrande Padana group. In 2017, the last part of the restructuring of the plant was completed, the is enriched with an innovative production line for ceramic slabs.Today the Maranello plant is one of the most important plants of the Casalgrande Padana group, specializing in large formats. The future development is that of a factory dedicated to the production of ceramic slabs with a total capacity of 15,000 square meters per day, with an internal cutting and machining plant. The purpose of the latest investments is to strengthen the SAIME brand through expansion from the offer of traditional material to the most innovative materials available on the market.
